Our story started back in 1994 when our CEO, Rob, was a restaurant manager straight out of the service. At the time, his uncle had a handyman business and was working on painting something for a customer.
He learned during his time on the project that she needed her roof repaired but couldn’t get anyone to return her phone calls. So, he suggested that Rob talk to her.
While he was growing up, Rob’s father had an exterior remodeling business, which allowed him to gain a lot of useful industry knowledge. Feeling confident that he could help this customer, he spoke with the homeowner and took on the job.
Because he was so successful with the repair, one job quickly turned into two and then three, and so on.
For Rob, it was easy to build RJW Exteriors and keep it going because of one solid foundational concept: Say what you’re going to do, then do it.
